RENOVATION VRC

Drainage, sewerage and general usage

POLYETHYLENE PIPES PE100 – RC PRESSURE PIPES

Polyethylene pipes PE100 RC (MRS 10) with a high resistance to cracking, black in colour with possible brown identification stripes intended for under pressure drainage and sewerage systems, vacuum sewer systems and the conveyance of water for general purposes, fulfilling the requirements of the standards EN 12201 and ISO 4427 and the technical specification PAS 1075 for alternative installation techniques (open trench without sand bedding and no dig).

Design
The hydraulic design of a network of RENOVATION VRC pipes foresees the determination of the diameters through the various sections, once the respective specified flow rate, length, piezo-metric share and roughness.

The dimensioning criteria, described in the UNI 11149, must be able to meet the maximum required flow rate, balancing the water supply in function of the application.

The distributed load losses (J) can be assessed through a schedule which relates the flow rate (Q) and the speed (V) of the fluid with the inner diameter (d) of the same duct.

In order to avoid overpressures and stagnation, it is advisable that the flow velocity is between 0.5 and 2.5 m / s.

The localised pressure losses, arising from the passage of the flow through fittings and valves, must instead be assessed as a function of the type as defined in the UNI 11149.

The RENOVATION VRC pipes comply with the provisions of standard UNI 10779 for the construction of firefighting systems permanently under pressure (the pressure rating of the system components in this case must not be less than 1.2 MPa).

Scavo e letto di posa
The minimum width of the trench should be at least 20 cm greater than the diameter of the pipe to contain, while the minimum depth of the landfill should be 1 m, measured from the upper generator of the pipe and always weighted on the basis of factors such as the dynamic loads on the ground above or the danger of frost.

The laying of the RENOVATION VRC pipes also allows different conditions compared to the traditional methods for polyethylene pipes. The installation must meet the requirements of the UNI EN 805 and ENV 1046 standard, in particular for the preparation of the bedding, the preparation of the side fill, the choice of materials and the compaction.

Welding
Polyethylene pipes PE100 RC RENOVATION VRC can be joined by butt-welding (also with PE100 pipes), electrofusion (also with PE100 fittings) or by means of mechanical joining. The choice of the most appropriate joining technique can affect the reliability and the long term behaviour of the pipeline.
