Polyethylene pipe for passing electrical cables and optical fiber
Pipes made of high-density polyethylene with a smooth surface and any internal grooves, for underground laying to protect cables for electrical systems and optical fibres in the telecommunications sector, in accordance with CEI EN 61386-24.
Properties of polyethylene pipes for cable protection
The main mechanical characteristics of a cable protection pipe are crushing resistance and impact resistance. Crushing resistance is essential due to the burial of the pipes, which are subjected to overlying static loads and to stresses caused by dynamic loads, while impact resistance is necessary to ensure the integrity of the duct during installation. Pipes from the CABLEX BASIC range meet the requirements of the CEI EN 61386-24 standard for both properties.
Junction
Connections between CABLEX BASIC tubes can be performed by electrofusion or mechanical joining with simple and quick-use sleeves capable of ensuring maximum sealing.
